About

Hi everyone,

I am Antoinette Pillay and I would like to let you into my world.

I am mom to a 5 year old, Hannah and a 6 month old little boy, Eli.  I am married to an amazing man who has been my shoulder to lean on for the last 9 and a half years.

I have a full time job in online marketing and I also run a kids party planning business with my cousin.

I enjoy cooking and baking and spending time with my family.

I started writing this blog as I would like to leave a legacy for my kids in that they can look back at the wonderful memories of our family life together.  A lot of my posts will be general posts about what we did as a family but I will also share some of my recipes with you from time to time.

I never thought that I would ever dote on my family the way I do right now.  You see I have always been a very independent person who could do what she wanted, when she wanted and just because she could.  Recently I have learnt that I don’t exist as a single unit, even though was married and already had Hannah, but as a family unit. At one stage I would be very upset when someone referred to me as Hannah’s mom or N’s wife.  I have since learnt that that isn’t a bad thing.  It is actually the best thing in the world.  To be surrounded with unconditional love from the ones you love unconditionally.  Let’s just put it down to me ‘growing up’.

One of the other things that is close to my heart is helping others that are in need. My parents always taught us that there are people out there that are less fortunate than us and that we need to use whatever little we have to give back to the community.  I plan on instilling the same values into my children.
